The Sheephouse Heights wind farm Community Consultation Website

Evelop UK Limited is proposing a five turbine wind farm 2km North West of Stocksbridge and 10km south west of Barnsley.

The wind farm has a potential electricity generation capacity of up to 15 MW, which could supply the equivalent of approximately 9,000 homes per year.

We submitted the planning application for Sheephouse Heights in May 2008 and since this time the proposal has been assessed by a number of consultees including Barnsley Council and bodies such as Natural England, the RSPB and the Highways Agency. This consultation period raised a range of issues which have required further assessment, we are now ready to submit this further information and to share this will all those interested in the scheme.
